These Terms are an agreement between you and Mcartus Technologies (“Salowa”, “we”), India. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
The service
In plain wordsSalowa is a mobile-first operating system for salons, spas and tattoo studios — appointments, billing, clients, staff, inventory, WhatsApp messaging — sold as a subscription.
Salowa provides salon, spa and tattoo-studio management software, including a mobile app and web access, appointment scheduling, client records with masked phone numbers, GST billing, staff and inventory management, and WhatsApp-based communication features. Features may evolve; we will not materially reduce core paid functionality during a paid term without notice and remedy.
Your account
In plain wordsKeep your login safe, give us accurate details, and use Salowa for lawful business purposes only.
You must be 18 or older, provide accurate registration information and keep it current, protect your credentials, and use the service only for lawful business purposes. The account owner is responsible for the staff roles and permissions they assign, and for all activity under the account. Notify us immediately at founder@salowa.com of any suspected unauthorised access.
Free trial
In plain words14 days, no card required, one trial per business. Nothing is deleted when the trial ends — your data stays exactly where it is.
The free trial lasts 14 days, requires no payment card, and applies fair usage limits. One trial per owner and business identity. Some production services — WhatsApp Business activation or live payment collection — may require separate setup or verification. At the end of the trial your account keeps full access through a short grace period and then goes read-only, and your data stays. We do not delete trial data when the trial ends. It sits under the same retention schedule as any other account, set out in the Privacy Policy: if the account then goes 24 months with no bookings, no invoices and nobody signing in, we email the owner and erase the account contents 48 hours later. Signing in resets that clock, so simply logging in — before or after the email — means nothing is deleted.
Subscriptions and payment
In plain wordsOne product, priced by commitment duration, paid on this website through Razorpay. Prices are final. GST is not charged: Mcartus Technologies is not registered under GST yet. Every payment is a one-time payment you make yourself — there is no auto-debit. Nothing is ever sold inside the mobile app.
Salowa is sold by commitment duration as shown on the Pricing page. Every paid duration includes the protected core workflows; allowances, onboarding assistance and support priority vary by plan as displayed at purchase. Subscription freeze is not supported. Prices are final. GST is not charged: Mcartus Technologies is not registered under GST yet. Payment is taken on this website through Razorpay; we never receive or store your card or UPI credentials, and there is no purchase inside the mobile app. Every payment is a one-time payment you make deliberately: we hold no standing instruction on your card, bank account or UPI, so there is nothing to cancel at your bank and no money can leave your account unless you choose to pay. When a term is ending, a person here sends you a payment link; paying it is your decision. Plans priced above ₹12,711 before GST could not carry an auto-debit even if we offered one — that is the RBI e-mandate ceiling, and the system refuses to arm a charge above it. What happens if a term simply runs out is set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
GST and your invoice
In plain wordsPrices are final. GST is not charged: Mcartus Technologies is not registered under GST yet.
Mcartus Technologies is not registered under GST, so there is no GST line on your bill and no Input Tax Credit to claim. Subscription payments get an invoice. Money paid in advance for WhatsApp credits gets a Receipt Voucher, because nothing has been supplied yet. If this changes, we will tell you before any GST is charged. We keep every invoice, voucher and payment record for 8 years, as tax law requires, even after you leave.
Your data and responsibilities
In plain wordsYour business data stays yours. You're responsible for collecting it lawfully and messaging customers only with proper consent. How we handle your customers' data is written out here — there is no separate document to chase.
You retain all rights to the business and customer data you enter. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful collection of that data, for obtaining any consent needed to record it (especially health-adjacent notes like allergies), and for using messaging features (WhatsApp, SMS, email) only with appropriate recipient consent and in compliance with applicable tax, employment, telecom/TRAI, messaging-platform and consumer-protection rules.
For your salon’s own customers, you are the Data Fiduciary and we are your Data Processor under the DPDP Act. That arrangement is set out here, in these Terms, so there is no separate agreement you have to ask for or sign:
- What we do with it: we process your customers’ data only to run Salowa for you and on your instructions — bookings, reminders, invoices, the messages you send. Never for our own purposes, never to advertise to them, never for another salon, and never sold.
- Who can see it: the staff roles you authorise. Client phone numbers are masked by default and every reveal is logged for you. Our own people access your data only to fix a fault you have reported, or where the law compels us.
- Who else touches it: only sub-processors we hold to these same terms in writing — hosting, payments, messaging delivery. We give you at least 30 days’ notice before we add or replace one that handles your data, and if your data is ever breached — at us or at one of them — we tell you without undue delay.
- How long we keep it: while your account is live, and then per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy — deleted or irreversibly anonymised within 90 days of closure, apart from invoices and tax records, which the law makes us keep for 8 years.
- If you tell us to erase something: a customer asks you to be forgotten, you tell us, and we erase that record and pass the instruction on to our sub-processors. We also forward to you any request a customer sends us directly, and help you answer it.
Acceptable use
In plain wordsDon't abuse the platform, spam people, break the law, or try to break the service.
You must not: use the service to send unsolicited or unlawful messages; upload malicious code or attempt to breach security or tenant isolation; scrape, resell or sublicense the service; misrepresent your identity or business; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that endanger the platform or other customers, with notice where practicable.
Availability and support
In plain wordsWe work hard to keep Salowa up, but no software is perfect. Support is a message away.
We aim for reliable, continuous service, but maintenance windows, third-party provider outages (hosting, WhatsApp, payment gateways) and events beyond reasonable control can affect availability. Support is available through the Support page and in-app; response-time targets by plan are published there.
Intellectual property
The Salowa software, brand, design and content are owned by Mcartus Technologies or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the product without obligation.
Termination
In plain wordsYou can leave any time and take your data with you. An unpaid renewal is never a termination. We can close accounts that break these Terms, with notice where fair.
You may stop using the service or cancel per the Cancellation & Refund Policy. An unpaid renewal is not a termination: the subscription is marked past due, or moves straight into a grace period — full access either way — and only then to read-only, where you can still open your reports and export your records, but not take new bookings or raise new bills. Nothing is deleted at any stage. We may suspend or terminate for material breach or unlawful use, with prior notice and a chance to put it right where reasonable. On termination you may export your records; deletion then follows the Privacy Policy retention schedule.
Liability
In plain wordsWe stand behind the service, but our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months, and we're not liable for indirect losses.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law: the service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis; neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss; and our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.
Changes, law and disputes
In plain wordsIndian law applies. If we change these Terms materially, we'll tell you first.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified through the account or email at least 15 days before taking effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of India; the competent courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection forum. Grievances: see Grievance Redressal.
