1 — The fastest way: inside the app
In plain wordsMore → Delete account permanently. It takes effect at once.
- Sign in to Salowa.
- Open the More tab.
- Tap Delete account permanently.
- Type DELETE, enter your password (leave it blank if you sign in with a code), and confirm.
Your access ends as soon as you confirm. Settings → Request account deletion is a slower route: it sends a request our team reviews first.
2 — If you cannot sign in
In plain wordsEmail us from the address on your account.
Write to founder@salowa.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Salowa account”. Include the mobile number or salon name on the account. We check it is really you before we act.
Never send passwords, login codes, card numbers or ID documents by email. We will never ask for them.
3 — What is deleted, and what is kept
In plain wordsYour personal data goes. Tax and billing records stay for 8 years because the law requires it.
- Login, profile, contact details, sessions: deleted. Access ends at once.
- Your salon’s client records, appointments and notes: deleted or anonymised when the salon account itself is closed. If another owner still runs the salon, those records stay with the salon and only your own login is removed.
- Uploaded photos and files: deleted with the account.
- Marketing choices: deleted, except a small record of when you said no.
- Invoices, payments, refunds and tax records: kept for 8 years, as GST and accounting law require. They are locked away and never used to contact you.
- Totals with no names in them: kept. They can no longer be traced to you.
4 — How long it takes
In plain wordsSign-in stops at once. Everything else is erased within 90 days.
Sign-in is switched off immediately. Personal data is erased or anonymised across our systems and backups within 90 days, apart from the records the law makes us keep.
Deletion cannot be undone. Export anything you need first — invoices, client lists and reports can be exported from the app while the account is active.
Salowa sells nothing inside the app, so there is no app-store subscription to cancel.
5 — If you are a salon's customer
In plain wordsAsk the salon first. If it does not answer, write to us.
The records a salon keeps about its clients belong to that salon; we only process them on its instructions. Ask the salon to delete your record. If the salon does not respond, write to founder@salowa.com and we will pass the request on and help. See also our Privacy Policy and Grievance Redressal.
