Cancellation & Refund Policy

No lock-in tricks. Here is exactly how trials end, how subscriptions cancel, when money comes back, and how to stop hearing from us.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This policy applies to purchases of Salowa subscriptions and WhatsApp message credits from Mcartus Technologies and is part of the Terms of Service. It is published to comply with Indian consumer-protection norms and payment-gateway (Razorpay) merchant requirements.

Free trial — nothing to cancel

In plain wordsThe trial needs no card and charges nothing. If you do nothing, it simply ends — and nothing is deleted when it does.

The 14-day trial requires no payment details and never converts into a paid plan automatically. When it ends, your account keeps full access through a short grace period and then goes read-only, and your data stays. We do not delete trial data when the trial ends — the end of a trial triggers no deletion of any kind. Your account then sits under the same retention schedule as any other account, set out in the Privacy Policy, so you can come back, subscribe or export whenever you like. No action, no charge, ever.

14-day money-back guarantee on first purchase

In plain wordsFirst time paying for Salowa? You have 14 calendar days to change your mind. An eligible refund returns 100% of the amount actually paid.

If this is your first paid subscription and you ask for a refund within 14 days of payment, we refund it — no reason required. We refund100% of the amount actually paid. For example, the separate First-100 Annual offer is ₹7,999 total, so an eligible full refund returns ₹7,999. No GST is charged, so there is no GST to reverse. We keep the original invoice and give you the refund reference. The guarantee covers your first paid subscription only, not a renewal. Request via founder@salowa.com or in-app support from the account owner’s login.

Cancelling a subscription

In plain wordsCancel any time from the app or by email. You keep access until your paid period ends. There is no auto-debit to cancel — every payment is one you make yourself.

The account owner can cancel any time via in-app support, the account settings screen, or by emailing founder@salowa.com from the registered email address. Cancellation stops any future renewal; your service continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Every Salowa payment is a one-time payment you make deliberately. We hold no standing instruction on your card, bank account or UPI, so there is nothing to cancel at your bank, and no money can ever leave your account unless you choose to pay. Plans priced above ₹12,711 before GST could not carry an auto-debit even if we offered one — that is the RBI e-mandate ceiling, and the system refuses to arm a charge above it.

If a renewal is not paid

In plain wordsNothing is taken from your bank, and nothing is deleted. Access steps down gently: full access, then read-only.

Renewing is something you do, not something we take. When a term is ending, a person here sends you a payment link and you decide whether to pay it. If you do not pay, no charge is attempted — there is no auto-debit to fail and none to retry. Your subscription is simply marked past due or moves straight into a grace period — you keep full access either way. Only when the grace period runs out does the account go read-only, where you can still open your reports and export your records, but not take new bookings or raise new bills. Nothing is deleted at any point in that sequence, and paying for a plan restores full access.

After the 14 days

In plain wordsAfter the guarantee window we do not refund the unused part of a paid term. You can cancel the next term and keep access until the paid period ends.

  • Multi-month and annual plans: the lower price on a longer plan is what you get for committing to it, so we do not refund unused months once the guarantee window has passed. You can cancel whenever you like and you keep full access until the period you paid for ends.
  • Monthly plans: no part-month refund; cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.
  • Temporary closure: Salowa does not offer a subscription freeze. Your paid access continues until the stated period end; cancelling only stops the next term.
  • Service failure: if a verified, material failure of Salowa stops you using the product, we extend, credit or refund the affected period, and we put the decision in writing.
  • Duplicate or erroneous charges: refunded in full once verified — that payment should never have been taken.

How and when refunds are paid

In plain wordsRefunds go back through the original approved payment channel, usually within 5–7 working days of approval. Eligible full refunds include GST and carry a linked credit note.

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method through Razorpay within 5–7 working days of approval; your bank may take a few days more to show it. For an eligible first-purchase refund, we return the full amount paid and keep the original invoice. Refunds of unused WhatsApp credits follow their separate wallet rules and Refund Voucher trail. Whoever handles your request replies in writing with the decision and the reason for it.

WhatsApp credits and what happens if you leave

In plain wordsUnused credits you paid for come back at 80% of what you paid. No GST is charged on top-ups.

WhatsApp messaging credits are bought up front and are separate from your subscription. No GST is charged on a top-up. You get a receipt voucher for the money paid in advance.

  • If you close your account, we refund 80% of your unused purchased credits. No GST is charged, so the 80% is worked out on what you paid.
  • We retain 20%.
  • Credits already spent on messages are not refundable.
  • Free and promotional credits have no cash value and are never refunded.
  • An unused balance below ₹100 is not refunded.
  • A WhatsApp activation fee is billed separately from your subscription and is not part of a subscription refund.

How to unsubscribe from communications (website and messages)

In plain wordsOne click or one message stops marketing. Essential account and billing notices continue while you have an account.

  • Marketing emails: click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or write to founder@salowa.com with the subject “Unsubscribe”.
  • WhatsApp / SMS updates: reply STOP to any promotional message, or ask in-app support.
  • Website forms: if you submitted your details on this website (demo request, contact form) and no longer wish to be contacted, email founder@salowa.com and we will remove you from outreach lists within 7 working days.
  • Transactional messages (OTPs, invoices, security and service notices) are part of operating your account and continue until the account is closed.

Questions and disputes

Contact founder@salowa.com first — most refund requests are resolved within 3 working days. One thing this policy does not cover: money you paid to a salon for a haircut, a treatment or a booking deposit. That money goes to the salon directly and never passes through Salowa, so only the salon can refund it. Unresolved issues follow the Grievance Redressal process. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Try it tonight. Decide in a month.

14 days. No card. Nothing to cancel. Your salon arrives half-built and you edit it — and if it's not for you, your data exports and you walk away, no calls chasing you.
